Description

Our Ashland Pencil Post Bed in cherry is built for a mattress only, much like the originals from the nineteenth century. No box spring or foundation is needed (or wanted). The posts measure 84″ tall. Available in all sizes with a selection of headboards.

Like all of our beds, our Pencil Post platform bed uses a bolted construction to connect the posts to the rails. This is the traditional method from the nineteenth century and works as well today as it did then.

The mattress is supported by an array of hardwood slats with an additional center leg for support.
