We created this cut-away dresser to demonstrate the rigorous cabinet-making techniques that we employ to ensure that our work will last for generations to come. The cut-away dresser is on display in our showroom for your inspection.
The case sides are tenoned to fit into coresponding mortises in the top panel. The cumulative effect of so many mortise and tenon joints provide extrordinary rigidity to the case.
Similarly the dividing rails separating the drawers are tenoned and fitted into mortises in the case side; more strength and rigidity!
Our dressers feature solid hardwood dovetailed drawers. Selection of solid brass hardware or wood knobs.
We are pleased to feature brass hardware made by Horton Brasses of Connecticut, continuing in the old Connecticut tradition of brass manufacturing.
We carefully build cabinetry one piece at a time so we can offer a wide selection of size configurations to stand-alone dressers or as components of larger compositions that we built to order.
